At the 2019 American Psychological Association (APA) Annual Convention in Chicago, IL, last week UF CARE Director Dr. Sara Jo Nixon was presented with a Presidential Citation for Outstanding Service to APA Division 50, the Society of Addiction Psychology (SoAP).
Dr. Nixon was awarded primarily for her work in establishing the Collaborative Perspective on Addiction (CPA) Annual Meeting, which was initiated in 2013 “to provide a forum for the presentation of novel research findings and clinical practice approaches to the treatment of addiction.” The 8th Annual CPA Meeting will be in San Diego, CA, April 2-4, 2020 (more information on here).
